I have blog on byethost service and I'm happy. Easy instalation of wordpress and other themes, easy access to ftp and mysql. Only minus is limited transfer.
i'm a blogger so whenever i need to test any niche or any theme i test it on free hosting of byethost and its very reliable until you exceed the daily bandwidth limit. if you do that your domain will be get suspended for 24 hours. what i love about the Byethost the most is it has softaculous which enables you to install any CMS on your account 1 click install.
so what i want to say is don't host your long term website here or you can take paid hosting. its already providing perfect free hosting for you no need to go for any other free hosting.
This review is for the Byet's free hosting (during 2014-2015).
Overall, Byet offers probably the best free hosting. Very feature-rich, but low traffic limit. Excellent environment for learning and testing or small audience production sites.
Pros: - Extremely wide set of features for a free host; everything from email to cloudflare, SQL databases to cron jobs - Seriously fast. Byet uses compression and caching very well, compared to some other free popular hosting providers. - 100% uptime in my use cases.
Cons: - Not suitable for sites getting any serious traffic due to low daily limit of 45k hits. - https for their cpanel has certificate issues. - Sets tracking cookie (__test) which will append ?ckattempt=n to your site's URLs for first-time visitors. This alleged bot countermeasure is mandatory on free hosting and subject to change at any time.
