They don't do back-up, they don't take responsability for lost data

We have a total disk usage of 7GB and 437042 Inode. Even if the plan comes with "unlimited" storage, Mochahost considers my disk usage too much to do back-ups. Sadly I discovered that there are no back-ups only when I needed to re...続きstore. BTW, the restore was needed because of a bug too with MySQL. The worst part is that I contacted them, offered them to pay them support hours because I was desperate, I asked them to access the back-end and locate the old data that was detached from MySQL. They have a strong policy not to access shared servers from the back-end so they won't help you with any backend support, not even if you pay them.

So here is the summary of why they SUCK big time
[] You don't get backend technical support, not even if you pay them
[] You don't get any guarantee that your data is saved
[] They are not responsible for any data loss, even if they delete it on purpose
[] You won't get any backups because shortly they will consider your usage too much even if in reality 7GB is not that much.
[] They don't have any disaster recovery protection at the server level.

They might say they do everything you want to hear until you need it...

We are extremely sad to hear that this has been your experience and viewpoint on the matter of the reduced number of cPanel accounts.

Allow Us to once again explain that MochaHost has posted numerous notices an...続きd has been actively sending e-mails to all affected clients. Starting January 2021, "cPanel" had decided to increase the licensing cost of their control panel / per account. Please note that as a courtesy, we actually took on these extra costs, while we were trying to work out solutions individually with the affected clients.

Unfortunately, a very small number of clients did not get back to Us, and no solution could be found. In our opinion, 9 months is a more than fair and reasonable time. We were left with no alternatives in this situation but to temporarily suspend these accounts in hopes you would reach out.

Our Billing and Support staff is always at your disposal and has explained the situation in detail. We are once again deeply sorry that your experience was a negative one.

These people are a big lie. I'm so frustrated by their behavior today. They promised a fixed renewal amount for lifetime since 1st renewal and got the same at my 1st renewal but today when I try to renew for another year, they ju...続きst changed the price and it is higher than they promised. Even their customer service representatives are so unprofessional, I never got satisfied with their answered because they actually know nothing. I'm so surprised that how you can cheat customers this way?
Don't trust them, don't expect anything positive from customer service. Got worst experience ever in my life.

I didn't talk about lifetime discount! I said I got discount while purchasing the subscription only and with an agreement of a fixed renewal amount for next renewals. I purchased the plan for around $54 or so and supposed to be a ...続きrenewal amount of $83 from second year onward. I renewed last year for $83 with a domain name. But this year your system asking $88 for no reason, even without the domain name. Why do you charge me higher whether I fixed my renewal amount for $83 as per your agreement? And your rude and unprofessional customer service representative says anything without logic.
This is how you lie.

Well, I have sent a mail in details including all payment and invoice numbers as per your request above.
I'm copying here the same below;
I have purchased Business 1y (Linux) G28 with a free domain (storycraftbiz.com) for 1 yea...続きr on 2nd Sept. 2019 in a discounted price of $41.70, invoice Number: 814174.
At that time I was offered to fix my yearly renewal amount by $83.40 per year for the whole package including the domain name.
Next year 2020 I renewed my whole package by paying $83.40, Invoice 1034105 sent on 07/07/2020.
Few days ago I transferred my domain to somewhere else and the domain is not active now in MochaHost.
Yesterday I tried to renew my hosting subscription and found that you are asking to pay $88.20.
Now my questions:
1.Why the renewal fees increased when it was fixed at the time of purchasing?
2.Why do I pay more for the 3rd year renewal even when the domain is not active?
3.Why do you show different price and promise a fixed renewal amount from next year renewal at the time of purchase and suddenly you increase the amount after 2 years, and your unprofessional customer service representatives say that they can do nothing at all?
4.Why the inactive domain (already transferred month ago) still attached in my account?
5.Why your customer representative says that he cannot remove the inactive domain when I requested yesterday and supposed to handle this request after 4 hours when someone else would join duty as per him but still not deleted?
6.Would you like to check all my info and correct my renewal fees and remove the inactive domain name from my account so that I can think to continue?
7.Would you like to let me know why I have to face this kind of harassment and waste time this way?
8. Why yours customer representatives are so unprofessional?

A Complete Waste of Time and Money

UPDATE - MochaHost tech support is unable to make MS Outlook 2019 work with the email server on either of the sites they are hosting for me. (As "proof" that MS Outlook 2019 works, they actually showed me screenshots of it suppose...続きdly working with a DIFFERENT email client from another software publisher. I have filed a formal complaint of fraud with the FTC through its website). I have been trying to set up two sites with this host over a week now. Their tech support is the absolute worst I have ever encountered. They provide virtually no help with setup. I can't get strait answers from them on where or how to upload files or transfer domains. They have a phone, but never answer it or reply to voice messages. They claim to have chat support, but their chat window never loads (if you are using a secure browser). When I complain, they insist that it is working and never check it or try to remedy the problem. Their replies to my email messages -- when they bother to reply at all -- are unresponsive to the questions asked. Either they bear little relation to the issue that I brought to their attention, or the questions are simply ignored. It seems like, when I submit a ticket on their web site, they sometimes just go in and mark it as "closed" without ever addressing the issue. And, to top it off, I think they're playing games with their pricing. I was led to believe that the plan I selected would end up costing about half what I was paying with my previous host. It has turned out to be only negligibly cheaper (a significant loss, in fact, if deduct the cost of the time they have wasted) and basically no tech support or any way to get my sites up and running. I've been dealing with web hosting companies for over 30 years and never encountered one that has been this bad right from the outset. I would have given it a score of zero, but 2 out of 10 appears to be the limit that I am allowed to post.縮小

Nearly all of your initial responses turned out to be false. It took you days to respond to my complaints. You only remedied them after I proved to your that you were wrong. Your "proof" that Outlook worked was from another email ...続きclient. You didn't actually fix the Outlook until yesterday, after being publicly shamed for it. And, now that it's working, it's horribly slow. Furthermore, I just received my VISA statement and found that you charged me significantly more for one of the domain transfers than your invoice, buy link, and sale confirmation said they cost. And your company STILL refuses to reply to the email messages I have been sending you from the email account provided by my ISP. We are so done. If you don't refund what I have paid you by the time I have found another hosting company, or give me any trouble transferring the domains, I will post online so other potential customers see how you handle problems.縮小

Correction. I just spoke with my bank. There was a bit of screw up with the printed invoice. MochaHost did correctly bill for the domain transfer. (Though their price is higher than the quotes I have been getting from their compet...続きitors. The only way I'll know for sure is to see if whoever I go with honors it.)縮小

Signed up for a 2 year subscription. extremely poor service, urge everyone to avoid them!!
Very inexperienced team, they will screw up the configurations every few months. I switched to an alternative after a year into my subscr...続きiption. I was taken by surprise because I did not give consent to store my payment information and certainly did not ask to renew my subscription automatically. It would seem that you have decided not to submit a Cancellation request for your service, only to allow your package to "Expire". From your single communication with our Billing team, it also seems that you have manually added your Credit Card into our system. Service auto-renewal is On by default (it's clearly labeled inside your account), thus you were charged upon renewal time. Please note that you can also personally disable the renewal feature right from there as well!

Our team has also explained that at no time have you reached out requesting Cancellation in any way shape or form, nor asked Us to disable any auto-renewal prior to your support chat, after you were charged. If you still feel that MochaHost is at fault in this situation, we can publish the relevant detail, logs, and communication. Thank you once again for sharing your viewpoint on your experience, we are truly sorry if you were left with a wrong impression of the situation!

I’ll keep on educating people of my experience with your company. First and foremost I was never a customer of Mochahost you acquired my service account and payment Information from a2hosting (I would avoid them too). I never consented to a recurring subscription with them either (a2hosting). So what right do you have to steal 500$. On top of that why do you have my card information? Smells like a scam but iv wasted enough time talking to ur support. I’m getting help from my bank to refund the transaction.

Exactly! They did same with me. They say something else at the time of purchase and on renewals they just increase fees. They got completely unprofessional, rude customer service representative , they don't even know how to behave!

For at least 2 months, I've been having repetitive problems with MySQL database hosting, which kills the entire hosting account and makes clients fly away from my service, and also makes me lose a lot of search rank on Google.

...続きMochaHost don't seem to do any effort to shoot the problem or nail it down, but rather tend to reset or restart the service or servers, so things would work relatively okay for a short while, then quickly deteriorate again.

You will also see "Scheduled Server Maintenance" emails and notes a bit toooo often--don't know where the 99.99% uptime promise has gone!!

What I like, though, about MochaHost service is the free SSL certificates feature, which is not available to many other hosting vendors.
