I’ve been using Hawkhost shared hosting for over 5 years. However, I’m now urging everyone to run away from them as fast as possible.
Recently, the
...y imposed a hard limit of just 7 simultaneous PHP processes per account — meaning no more than 7 users can browse your site at the same time. Beyond that, every new visitor is forced to wait.
Here’s their exact response:
"We have a set limit of up to 7 simultaneous PHP processes per account and it seems your account has reached its limit. As such, all the upcoming processes will be put to a wait state until the ongoing processes are completed. This is most likely the cause of your issue." This change happened without any prior notice, even though I paid for a 2-year plan just a few months ago.
If you’re currently looking for shared hosting — choose anyone but Hawkhost.
And if you're already hosting your site with them, consider moving now, especially if you care about uptime and your visitors' experience.
