I signed up with A Small Orange despite seeing many bitter reviews on the internet. I've been using ASO shared (small) plan for 3 months. Never experienced any issue with their service. I've monitored my website uptime with J... 続き etpack plugin of wordpress and tested speed, server response time regularly. Never experienced any downtime in last 3 months. Pingdom shows my website is faster than the 98% website. Actually, so far I'm very happy with their service.
It is true that their support ticket is very slow and they took almost two weeks to reply my ticket about registering a new domain. But I never had to wait more than 3 minutes to get live chat support. My ticket was solved instantly via live chat.
Another good thing about ASO is their server name and user area interface is very unique and user friendly.

I've been a customer of MacHighway for over 12 years. They used to be different. They were Mac based. They actually listened to their customers, and were readily available when issues arose.
Hackers have been breaking into on... 続き e of my sites every few weeks for over a year. They change my passwords, send out spam emails, and install bots to further their dirty work. Every time it's happened, it's taken days to get their customer service department to even acknowledge me. Their "chat" support has never worked, so it's just email which sits in somebody's inbox somewhere in India for days sometimes before there is any response. They treat me like an idiot, and do the absolute least amount of work necessary. Typically, they make up in their minds what they suppose the problem is without reading my entire email. So they'll send pointless or irrelevant responses that, again, take days to set right. What's worse, no one at MacHighway seems to care one way or the other, and don't seem to want to prevent it from happening again.
So, the final straw was TWO break-ins in the past THREE days. I'm moving to another service provider. Good riddance. 縮小

That wasn't my only reason though. Support wait times have been increasing and the chat experience was getting worse. Simple questions were taking almost 10 or more minutes to get answered. Since I was only a few days into my renewal period, I didn't think it would be a problem asking for a refund or if they would prorate my account. They refused it. So that's the treatment I received after being a loyal customer for 13 years. They really could care less. Stay away from this company. There are much better hosting options out there that offer better and quicker customer support and features. 縮小
